I am a California-based, Korean-American artist whose work captures fuzzy feelings and fleeting moments. Through handmade collages and stop motion animation, I explore how shapes, movement, and language make meaning out of complexity, something out of nothing. I often create with scraps and disposable goods, reiterating that nothing is wasted, not even the dullest of days.

Heat Wave, 2026

Mixed Media on Wood Panel, 8x10 inches.Growing up in Los Angeles amid 90-degree summers, I would feel heat radiating from the pavement and watch the air ripple around me in a heat haze, an optical illusion caused by the difference in temperature between the hot ground and the cool air. This collage captures the rising temperatures and blurry mirages of my childhood.Part of the 2026 Summer Feels group exhibition, curated by Coyote Town, hosted by Youth Art Exchange.

Imagined Flower Challenge, 2026

Collages for an annual challenge hosted by artist Estee Zales. Collages were made with painted papers, magazine cutouts, printed photos, and embroidery thread. Daily prompts: Flower + People, Flower + Apple, Flower + Book, Flower + Clock, Flower + Fish.

Spring Animations, 2026

Highlights from a personal challenge to complete forty mini stop motion animations by end of spring. Physical objects (e.g. leaves, contact lens packaging, printed photos) were modified frame by frame.
